Rain

We got Beasted by the rain,  Wet before we were even up to snow line… Soaking wet!!!  The “I just jumped in a swimming pool with all my gear on” type of wet.  We then proceeded to finish our day and get the shots we needed for the day.  Good spirits and had fun.  Dried out at our Homies joint to eat some steak and fries and let Blotto’s and Klondo’s camera gear dry before our 2 hour drive home in the dark and inches of rain on the road.  Oh….  It’s only raining harder now!

The Leash

1990ish is probably the last time I remember using a leash for my snowboard.  I have talked my way around one a few times at random resorts but even that has been 10 plus years ago.  So when delivered the “you gotta have a leash” information, my response was of course “a what?” “why?”, which was followed by, “well it’s so that you can throw your board over you’re shoulder when you get stuck on the cat track and have to walk”.  And that’s the truth Yo!

Tree Play

Our Session was focused on the trees.  They had a good look and the wind was low in there also.  So we went a go go and barked our way up a couple pillars of lumber.

Bariloche’ Mission

After your average squeaking into the last seat and being the final human on the international departure taking place in 35 seconds, and once the breathing slows back down. you start to think….  Wow! I just ran faster to this gate than I have ever and would ever care to be moving at a clip of this pace using my very feet for the transport.  Which I can only assume that the luggage folks on the ground will certainly not carry the same desire nor concern about supporting helpless luggage in a similar act.

Nope!  They don’t!  Crickets at the customs luggage sidewalks on this fine Morning in Buenos Aires.

But Ramone was on the job instantly shaking down any and all Argetine’s that seemed would be of a use to him.  Dude is gnarly!  I mean he was a Monk in a temple for 13 months meditating, fasting and drinking tea, allday everyday!!  Beast!!  Awesome was what Ramone was, “the handler”!

Had to swoop the proper currency, works better for buying of cop’s and getting any special services around here.

The concrete beast.  As far as the eyes can see, Piles!

Finally landing in Bariloche after 24 hours of travel, still with no bags only with what was on my back.  tomorrow should be interesting.

Finally making it with the final ride into the cabin!!  Sleep is way good when you run a day like this.  It was surprisingly a good time.  Ramone was great company and laced the jam up for a lunch in BA.  Plus it is simply not and adventure if it just goes, boom boom boom done!

Game Changer’s

Game Changer number 1:

The “Big Airbag”!  Ok…  Not really a fan personally, but Im a person that can deal with times changing so, I guess I can accept it.  But…  to here a quote like “Hey dude, Lets go ride Airbag” up on the hill is still a little strange to me.

Preston of HCSC throws a frontal into the bag which he admittedly would otherwise not do. (game changer)

Game Changer Number 2:

The “Rope Tow”.  This thing is the best thing for a snowboard camp EVER!  And HCSC has 2 of them, which is amazing, no more hiking all day you get 10 times the riding in and learn way more if you’re there for training.  You can even ride the Tow up next to the pipe ride over a bit and hit the Airbag in one swoop.  Game Changer??  I’d say Yes!
