I forget how amazing Heath is! I mean when you don’t release a part and barley a single photo in 4 years plus it just kind of slips from the memory bank. Anyway, Heaths Mind Field section is retarded!!! AMAZING skateboarding, do yourself a pleasure and go peep it.
So apparently these fools are the coolest out there for a few self proclaimed reasons. All sounds good to me though and maybe they will have some stuff for me to buy for my bike soon, but… maybe not. We can also pretend that Steven has nothing to do with them that way I am not posting another something about this cat, I mean the dude couldn’t even get his bike started for a ride today, it ain’t like he is that on point right?
First off this is Lance and Evan standing at the counter waiting for their bagel and sort of talking with the worker and with eachother but mostly just hooked on their I-phones. You ever wonder why some people don’t hit you back a text or call for a few days… well… it’s cause they DON’T want to. When they want to they will, the reason wasn’t that they weren’t at the phone, the phone in fact actually never even got more than 12 inches from their face. Man… The truth hurts!
Title story- I was traveling through Detroit and there was some sort of film shoot happening. first I enter into the tunnel to connect to my correct terminal and I instantly get yelled at to stay on the moving walk way, then I get to the bottom of the escalator and get yelled at again, then I walk between moving walk ways and another thing yells at me to continue on moving walkway, these human types were so mad and literally yelling at everyone with no explanation. Turns out the shoot of this Moon man was taking place. The funny thing to me just coming from a Burton commercial shoot was the difference in production. We shot a 30 second commercial in 3 hours with no permission from anyone and no fancy equipment and a couple cash deals under the table for our “actors”. This Detroit crew had 300 hundred “workers” standing around, some holding a power cord or sweepin’ the floor, but most just… Standing. Then they had the film crew of 10 to 15 people, the “actor” and the 4 people around him, doing his make up, which was covered by a space helmet. And then the whole airport security on site to ensure traffic control and make sure all bombs get through security to blow up planes with ease, and this will probably numerous days of shooting and the shot will be close to maybe 4 seconds in whichever film its for. I indeed appreciate the way we do things in our films, it’s core, it’s more raw, it’s cheap and we get the real people like Lauren in my last post.

I know I probably give this dude Steven to much love lately. Fact is he is droppin’ hammers in photography, and it’s good to see some new crap and a new take on things that we see and wish we saw everyday.

A looooong trip home! It feels nice to see my family again and get some chill time. Doing a mini family vaca hang out Valentines weekend so I wont be posting, catch ya monday. Have a good weekend!
Had these bars boxed up in my garage when I got home. I designed them and had a dude bend em’ up. They turned out pretty close to my specs just a bit off, but I am hyped I think they’ll be perfect.
Me and Brad pillaged the candy machine the other night after dinner since the grocery joints round’ here close up shop uber early. 20 franks worth of candy, not to bad really.
We also dropped over to FK’s for some ‘rocolette’ (for sure spelled wrong). What’s Rocolette? ….CHEESE! and only cheese. Super good!!!!! It leaves ya with a major brick in your gut to chisel away at in the morning though.
Chillin’ in the hotel this morning, taking it VERY slow. It’s dumping out side with no signs of it letting up. Over the last few days Saas Fee has received a healthy dose of snow, something like 7 feet…ish. Not bad huh?
Anyway, first “down day” since we arrived a week ago and I am out of here probably right when it breaks, which sucks, but sometimes ya have to take one for the team. We have been super productive and the trip has been killer so zero complaints.
